Aliya makes friends!

A few weeks ago we went to play at my friend Sheena's house.  Her little boy Riley is super cute and just a couple months younger than Aliya.  She hasn't been around a lot of other babies so it was cute to watch them interact.

Happy Easter!

We didn't eggsactly go all out for Easter this year, but Daniel and I colored a few eggs and I did baskets for each of us.  Aliya was so excited about hers! ( I think as much about the grass, that I quickly had to take away, as much as what was in it.  But we had fun regardless, here are a few pics of her attacking her basket and all dressed up pretty for church.

We Love Grandparents!

We have been so lucky to get to see some of Aliya's grandparents this past week for Easter.  She was a bit overwhelmed with there being so many people all at once and she got pretty weepy toward the end (can't blame her, it was a big difference from being with just me all day every day).   But we had some good moments and got some cute pic's of her playing with her grandparents and aunt and uncle so here you go! Also, some of these pics are from Michael's birthday. (Apologies to those grandparents we didn't get to see, we miss you!)

The Latest

So, I keep waiting to add a post so that I will be able to put a picture with it, but I'm giving up for now and just putting some text to give an update of what we've been up to lately. Aliya came down with a cold on Sunday night :( Poor baby. She is so stuffy and it makes it hard for her to eat and to keep her binky, which is the only way she can go to sleep. Needless to say none of us have slept much this week. But she is getting better. Unfortunately she has given her cold to me and since I'm nursing I can't have cold meds, so, we suffer together!
On a happier note, Aliya is learning to crawl!!! She's not there quite yet, but she does like a low army crawl on her stomache and sometimes she gets up on her knees and elbows and rocks, so we know she'll get it pretty soon, but it's cute to watch the developments. However, I've got to get more serious about this baby-proofing business. I'm not used to having to be so careful about what we leave lying on the floor.
That's pretty much all that's new. There are only about 3 weeks left in the semester so Daniel is working hard and getting a bit of spring fever mixed with senior-itis, but thats to be expected. I'm so proud of him for being so dedicated. Ü
